Teacher Dashboard
The Teacher Dashboard is part of the unified Member Portal and serves as your home base for everything related to teaching. When you log in, you will see a personalized overview of your upcoming teaching assignments, open sub requests, pending tasks, and more.
What You See on the Dashboard
Welcome Banner
At the top of the dashboard, a welcome banner greets you by name and summarizes your current status:
- The number of upcoming shifts you are scheduled to teach
- The number of pending tasks you have
Team Section
Below the welcome banner, team members see three information cards:
My Schedule Card
- Shows your next three upcoming teaching assignments
- Each entry displays the date, day of the week, and class name
- A small amber dot appears next to any assignment that does not yet have a lesson assigned
- Click View all to go to the full schedule page
Sub Requests Card
- Shows open substitute requests from other teachers
- Displays how many requests are currently open
- You can quickly see who needs help and for which date
My Tasks Card
- Shows your pending and in-progress tasks, sorted by priority and due date
- Overdue tasks are highlighted so you know what needs attention first
- Click View all to open your full task list
Community Section
The dashboard also includes community information visible to all members:
- Upcoming Events -- Church events you may want to attend or serve at
- Announcements -- Important messages from church leadership
- Prayer Requests -- Requests from the church community
Key Stats at a Glance
The dashboard calculates and displays several statistics:
| Stat | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Upcoming shifts | Total number of future teaching assignments |
| Open sub requests | Sub requests from other teachers that you could claim |
| Pending tasks | Tasks assigned to you that are not yet completed |
| Overdue tasks | Tasks that are past their due date (shown as a red badge) |
Quick Actions from the Dashboard
From the dashboard, you can:
- Click any schedule entry to view the full schedule page
- Click "View all" on the My Schedule card to see your complete teaching calendar
- Click "View Profile" to update your personal information
- Navigate using the sidebar to access My Schedule, Lessons, Tasks, Availability, and the Team Directory
Navigating to Other Team Features
Use the sidebar on the left side of the screen to access other team features:
- My Schedule -- Your full schedule, with Teaching, Serving, and Open Roles sub-tabs
- Lessons -- Browse the lesson library to find lesson plans
- Tasks -- Manage your personal to-do list
- Availability -- Opens your Serving Availability page, where you mark dates you cannot serve, set recurring patterns, and choose your scheduling preferences
- Team Directory -- View contact information for other team members
Tip: Check your dashboard at the start of each week to see what is coming up. If you see open sub requests, consider whether you can help a fellow teacher.
Mobile Access
The dashboard is fully responsive and works on mobile devices. On smaller screens, the sidebar becomes a bottom navigation bar for easy access to all portal features.
