Settings & Administration Overview
Audience: This category is for church administrators. Super Admin docs live in
super-admin/and Association HQ docs live inassociation/.
The Settings area in TimelyChurch is your central hub for configuring how your church account operates. From here, you can manage your church profile, team members, roles and permissions, custom fields, subscription plans, data import/export, integrations, check-in label settings, custom domain, and security settings.
How to Access Settings
- Log in to your TimelyChurch admin panel.
- Click Settings in the left-hand navigation sidebar (the gear icon).
- You will land on the Church Settings page, which is organized into tabs.
What You Can Configure
Church Profile
Update your church's name, contact information, address, logo, timezone, and description. This information appears on public-facing pages and is used throughout the system.

Team Management
Invite staff members, teachers, and volunteers to your TimelyChurch account. Manage their roles, update their titles, and deactivate accounts as needed.

Roles & Permissions
Create custom roles to control exactly what each team member can see and do. TimelyChurch includes built-in system roles (Administrator, Team Leader, Team Member, and Member) and lets you create your own.

Custom Fields
Track additional information about your people beyond the standard fields. Create text fields, dropdowns, date pickers, yes/no toggles, and more -- organized into tabs like Spiritual, Volunteer, Medical, and Custom.

Subscription & Billing
View your current plan, monitor usage (team members, classes, storage), and upgrade or manage your subscription. The Subscription tab offers three self-serve plan tiers: Starter (Free), Growth ($49/mo), and Pro ($129/mo founding price). Yearly billing saves roughly two months (about 17%). Larger multi-campus tiers are available through concierge onboarding rather than the self-serve tab.

Data Import & Export
Import people from other church management platforms using CSV files, or export your people and family data for reporting or migration purposes.

Security Settings
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account, manage your support verification PIN, and understand how TimelyChurch protects your data.

Who Can Access Settings
Settings are protected by the Settings permission module. Only users whose role includes access to the Settings module can view or edit church settings. By default, only the Administrator role has full Settings access.
Team Management and Roles are controlled by the Team Management permission module.
Tip: If you are the founding administrator, make sure at least one other person has Administrator access. This prevents you from being locked out if you lose access to your account.
