AI Settings

Audience: This article is for church administrators.

The AI Settings page is where you configure the TimelyChurch AI Assistant for your church: which contexts (knowledge prompts) it has, how much it's been used this month, and how to clear conversation history.

For full AI feature documentation (what the assistant can do, how members use it, what it costs), see AI Features > AI Settings. This page covers only the admin settings UI.

Plan Requirement

The AI Assistant is a Pro plan feature. On Starter and Growth, the AI Settings page will display an upgrade prompt.

Accessing AI Settings

In the admin sidebar, go to Settings → AI.

What You Can Configure

Context Library

Contexts are short, reusable prompts that tell the AI Assistant about your church (mission, statement of faith, ministry leaders, recurring events, etc.). The assistant references these when answering staff and member questions.

From the Context Library you can:

• Add a context
• Edit a context
• Toggle a context active or inactive
• Delete a context

Usage Dashboard

The page shows current-period usage (requests today, tokens this month) versus your plan's limits.

Clear Conversation History

If you want to wipe stored chat history for your church (privacy or testing), click Clear History. This removes all stored AI conversations for your church only.

Heads up: Clearing history is irreversible. Members will start with an empty assistant on their next visit.
